Guatemala – Floras to Xela

On Thursday Night, we took an incredibly comfortable night bus (even though they had the AC up WAY to high) from Floras to Guatemala City. There, after a delicious local breakfast at a hole in the wall place, we hopped a bus up to Quetzaltenango (Xela), up in the highland. It’s much cooler here in Xela, but gorgeous all the same. The city is surrounded by dormant volcanoes (nine in all) that etch a dramatic ridge line which ever direction you look.
